Linda Finch - Secretary

Linda Kruger Robinson
As an artist I primarily works in pastels. I love the colors of the landscape in South Jersey and the surrounding areas of Pennsylvania and Delaware. “There is a scene to paint wherever you look!” The colors of the landscape compel me to create moments that I experiences in nature. Colors chosen in my work are not necessarily true to the natural world. There is excitement in the prospect of creating light, color, pastel strokes through an arrangement of forms and texture. I derive energy and happiness finding colors that come together to create a composition and new works in pastel. I believe in
the beauty of the landscape and try to capture the feel, colors and beauty in my paintings. I recently began exploring other themes in my art , as well as still life . “My hope is that my images inspire and stimulate the viewers senses and capture a moment in time!”
I have an Art Education degree from Temple University/Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, attended The Academy of Fine Arts Continuing education program, Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Barn Studio of Art , Millville NJ, pastel workshops in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and I continue my interest in learning. I previously taught art for 31 years in the Millville Public Schools (1982-2013) where I shared my excitement, enthusiasm and love of the arts with my students and I continue to teach students art in New Jersey, as well as judge local shows.

My insatiable curiosity has led me down so many pathsways in life, some even successfully! Painting, drawing, sculpting, wood, clay or metal, I aspire to inspire and share creativity with anyone who will listen. What can we learn together?
